We encourage that existing fascias are removed generally speaking but if your old fascias are free from rot you might “cap” the existing fascia with a 10mm capping board especially designed for the job. This would minimize the cost of materials and waste disposal and can be a perfectly suitable method which offers the same finish and durability as fascia replacement at a reduced price when installed properly.
