We recommend that existing fascias are taken off typically but if your old fascias are free from rot you can easily “cap” the existing fascia with a 10mm capping board explicitly manufactured for the job. This will decrease the cost of materials and waste disposal and can be a perfectly appropriate option offering the same finish and durability as fascia replacement at a lower cost when installed effectively.
