Chimney Stack Repairs

Replacing the lead flashings on a chimney stack is a repair that we encounter quite often. It is not a difficult job with most of the cost coming from the materials used as lead is quite expensive.

If the cement work between the bricks of your chimney stack is found to be soft and deteriorating this can be replaced.

We offer a rendering option for your chimney stack which means the brickwork will be covered in a layer of cement for protection. This gives a nice and hard waring finish.

We also offer a repointing service. This consists of raking out the old cement between the bricks and replacing it, some people prefer this option as it leaves the brickwork exposed.

We can also remove chimney stacks to below the roofline if they are unused. This is often the best option as there are then no flashings to fail or openings for rainwater to find its way in.

We can also work on the flaunching of your stack, replace pots and fit cowls, wire balloons or sailors caps on request.
