Replace Ridge Tiles

Over time you may find that some ridge tiles have become displaced from your roof, they may come off completly or you may just notice they look unsecure.

Ridge tiles are not hard to replace and the process is relatively inexpensive

The best solution is usually to remove to whole ridge and then re bed the existing tiles back into position. If the cement is still in good order it may be just as effective to simply re bed the missing/loose ridge tiles

If you have ridge tile displacement on your roof it is advisable to check the state of the cement on the rest of your roof, it may be wise to rake out the old cement on the rest of your roof and repoint with cement throughout.

Other times the problem will only be on the displaced ridge tiles, some times a heavy gust of wind can penetrate into the loft and the pressure can push them out of position.
