If you are in need of a new flat roof there are 3 main solutions to choose from 3 layer torch-on felt, EPDM rubber and GRP fiberglass.

3 layer felt can be the cheapest option if your boards underneath are free from rot as it is the only system that does not require brand new, clean boards are installed. However both EPDM rubber and GRP fiberglass are more durable and come with longer guarantees.I would expect both EPDM rubber and GRP fiberglass systems to last in excess of 30 years and anywhere up to 50 years or more.
